Plymouth State University Marketing Association Opens Print Shop

Student-run Statement looking to serve the Plymouth Community

The grand opening of Statement, a print shop on the Plymouth State University (PSU) campus run by the Marketing Association of Plymouth State (MAPS), was Wednesday, October 11th. MAPS members are excited to serve the campus and community in their print needs.

The idea was generated during the Spring 2017 semester as a way to grow MAPS and keep more marketing operations in-house. MAPS advisors Brad Allen and Gregory Dumont worked over the summer months to make the concept a reality. According to Brad, “the new print shop allows Plymouth State University’s organizations to be more collaborative and self-sufficient while helping the surrounding community by offering high quality, affordable printed clothes.” Statement is taking orders from local businesses, youth athletic teams, PSU organizations and individual community members. “MAPS is currently working to identify charities to donate the proceeds to it has enough current revenue streams to cover its needs,” said Jen Santucci, MAPS President.

The Marketing Association of Plymouth State is a chapter of the American Marketing Association, a nationally recognized marketing organization. “MAPS is a close-knit family that puts our heart and soul into everything we do. The organization is open to students of all majors and provides them with an array of opportunities including marketing, event planning, and graphic design which are useful skills in any career,” according to Jen Santucci.
