Communication & Media Studies Program Overview

The Communication and Media Studies Program will prepare you for an exciting and rewarding career in a wide array of fields, including advertising, digital communication, technical writing, and more. You may also choose to further your studies in graduate school, specializing in areas such as public relations, digital media, or film-making.
Our faculty, which comprises scholars and professionals in the field, is committed to your academic success and will help you develop skills that are invaluable to today’s marketplace, including effective public speaking, presentation, written communication, and technical skills.
Communication and Media Studies majors have access to an array of audio, video, lighting and gripping equipment. The department offers Digital Video Production, Journalism, Animation and other courses that allow students to explore and hone their visual story-telling, and podcasting skills.
