Matthew has previously taught English, Communications & Media Studies, and Women’s Studies for Plymouth State, and he is excited to be able to bring his many interests to Interdisciplinary Studies. His scholarly research has focused on 20th century literature and the intersections of aesthetics and socio-political crisis, and he has published work with Woolf Studies Annual, English Journal, Science Fiction Film & Television, and elsewhere. In addition to academic work, he is a creative writer, having published fiction and essays with such publications as the Los Angeles Review of Books, Conjunctions, One Story, Weird Tales, Best Gay Stories, and elsewhere.
