MU 3200 - Technology in Music Performance
Examines the history and evolution of music technology and how it impacts culture and society. Explores MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) techniques, synthesis, programs, and equipment that support MIDI and audio production for the performing musician. Students acquire proficiency in MIDI and audio recording/editing technology and demonstrate that proficiency in a large recording/sequencing project. Springs. Prerequisite(s): Music majors only.
