As the final days of 2011 approach, we reflect upon our accomplishments and successes of the past year and think about our hopes and dreams for 2012.
You have many reasons to be proud of the impact you, our alumni, are making in the world. We saw dedication, service, commitment, and loyalty in the actions of the seven alumni honored at the annual Alumni Awards Ceremony. We helped undergraduate and graduate students achieve their educational aspirations through Alumni Association scholarships. We honored our 50th reunion class during a Half-Century Club Induction Ceremony at Alumni Weekend. And alumni, current students, and families had a fun-filled Homecoming and Family Celebration that included the Barbara Dearborn Golf Classic and the inaugural Friends of Plymouth State Football gathering.
One of my hopes for 2012 is that you’ll “come home” for an alumni event, to the annual Commencement Ceremony, or to simply experience campus as it is today. I assure you, you’ll be glad you did!
On behalf of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, I want to wish you and yours a safe and happy holiday season. Thank you for all you do as part of the 30,000-strong Plymouth State alumni family.
