2018 Women’s Leadership Summit

The 2018 Women’s Leadership Summit will be a weekend event at the new Merrill Place Conference Center, August 11–12.
An optional overnight component will provide participants with additional opportunities to network and explore the beauty surrounding their alma mater.

Squam Lakes Boat Cruise, 4:15-6:30 p.m.
Squam Lakes Science Center Boat Launch
In case of rain, we will attend a talk at the Science Center.
$10 per person

Dinner, 6:30-7:20 p.m.

Keynote Presentation with Q&A, 7:20-8:00 p.m.
We are very pleased to have Clare Mendelsohn, Forest Supervisor of the White Mountain National Forest, as our keynote speaker this year.

Evening Chill, 8:30-9:30 p.m.
Merrill Place Back Patio
Relax and connect with your fellow Plymouth State women around a campfire under the stars. There will be a cash bar.

$10 per person. Attendees register for one of the following activities:

  • Easy Hike (similar to Rattlesnake Trail) with Patti Biederman ’76 and Dianne Rappa ’76
  • Moderate Hike (similar to Morgan & Percival or Welch & Dickey loops) with Lauren Lavigne ’94,’96G and Kim Bownes ’08G
  • Introductory Rock Climbing experience with Madeline McElaney’02, ’10G (10 guests max – SOLD OUT!)
  • Outdoor Ropes Course with Julie Bisson ’13 and Sarah Sibley (20 guests max)
  • Historical Walk around the town of Plymouth with Louise McCormack ’72 (18 guests max)
  • Bike Ride with Robbin Adams ’83 touring the beautiful back roads near Plymouth *BYOB! (Bring Your Own Bike!)

**All activities are rain or shine so make sure to check the weather and pack appropriately**

Membership

Our mission is grounded in advancing and mentoring Plymouth State University women, supporting the community, and investing in the future of women. The Women’s Circle of Giving brings together alumnae, students, and members of the public who strive to make a difference in their communities. By giving as a collective in a multitude of capacities, the circle exponentially increases the impact we can make as individuals toward initiatives that support and empower fellow women.
