Tailgating Rules

Tailgating starts at 10 a.m. and ends when the game begins. The designated tailgating lot is located on the grass to the North of Panther Field and AllWell North, and is accessed via North River Street. Tailgating and consumption of alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited at any time after kickoff, including after the game’s conclusion. Tailgating and consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all other lots and while in line to enter the designated tailgating area. Tailgaters are welcome to leave their car parked in the tailgating area for the rest of the afternoon.

Tailgaters are reminded of University values that include a desire for respectful treatment of those around them and be mindful that all students are subject to policies outlined in the Plymouth State University Student Rights and Code of Conduct. Everyone is subject to the New Hampshire State Law, as well as the rules and regulations of PSU.

For safety considerations, all tailgaters will use cans, plastic cups or plastic bottles; glass containers are prohibited. “Common containers” like kegs, party balls, etc. are also prohibited.

Wristbands will be provided to those over 21 years of age (Valid ID required). You must wear a wristband to consume alcohol. Look for staff to get your free wristband. No one under 21 years of age, in accordance with the laws of the state of NH, may consume alcohol at this event. No exceptions.

For safety reasons, gas powered generators are not allowed. Propane and gas grills are permitted, not to exceed a 20-gallon tank per vehicle. Charcoal grills, wood fires, and any other form of open flame are prohibited.

This is a carry-in-carry out event. Please be prepared to clean up after yourselves. Portable restrooms are available and will be located adjacent to the tailgating area.

Indoor use furniture such as couches and sofas are prohibited in the tailgating area. Only portable sound systems that don’t need an external power source may be used. Music content must be appropriate for all ages and the volume should not be so loud as to disturb the groups around you. Box trucks are prohibited.

Working service dogs are permitted. Other than working service dogs, animals are not allowed in the tailgating area nor on the athletic fields.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I purchase tailgating spots online?
Yes, and you’ll save $10 per game if you do so! CLICK HERE to register and pay. Tailgating for Homecoming on October 8 is sold out.

Can I pay at the gate?
Yes. However, pre-registration is highly recommended as you save $10 per game, and we may be at max capacity and unable to admit day-of registrants. Homecoming 2022 (October 8) tailgating is sold out. $60.00 cash will be accepted at the gate, and you must have exact change.

Can I park next to certain people / other cars?
Yes! While there is no way to reserve specific parking spaces tailgating next to your friends and family is easy. Make sure to arrive together, lining up on North River Street to be let in and parked sequentially. Make sure to form your line of cars before turning onto North River Street. You will not be allowed to save a parking spot next to you for someone arriving later.

Are tickets to the game included with tailgating?
Yes! Everyone in your vehicle is all set to watch the game.

When can I arrive?
Vehicles are let into the tailgating area starting at 10 a.m. Vehicles can start lining up on North River Street in advance, but won’t be let in.

Can I give my tailgating spot to someone else?
No, you may not.
