5th Annual Integrated Design, Integrated Development Conference:

ididweb_2In partnership with the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIANH), The Jordan Institute, and Granite State Landscape Architects, the Center for the Environment sponsored the 5th Annual Integrated Design, Integrated Development Conference on July 17-18, 2008. This two day event brought 150 design, construction, and real estate professionals and their suppliers and financiers to campus for presentations and tours illustrating the value of, and techniques for, multidisciplinary design processes that produce efficient, cost-effective, and delightful buildings, grounds, communities, and landscapes. 13th New Hampshire Lakes Congress and Annual Meeting:

On June 17, 2006, the Center for the Environment hosted the New Hampshire Lakes Association (NHLA) annual Lakes Congress at the Boyd Science Center at Plymouth State University. The Lakes Congress offered workshops and presentations focused on increasing threats and potential solutions to the successful management of New Hampshire’s lakes and ponds. The NHLA is a statewide, nonprofit, member-supported organization dedicated to protecting New Hampshire’s lakes, which are integral to the quality of life and economic health of the State.

In June 2005, the Center for the Environment hosted a workshop to review past research at Squam Lakes, determine data gaps and future research needs to enhance the stewardship of the lakes and the watershed. The workshop brought together stakeholders involved in the Squam Lakes region and others involved in the future of New Hampshire lakes.
