From the course catalog:

This course focuses on science curriculum and instruction with the goal of promoting critical thinking skills and a constructivist approach to teaching and learning. Inquiry based science methods and science experiences are emphasized. Science education incorporates four (4) standards-based strands including knowledge and proficiency in earth/space science, physical science, life science, and science process skills. Candidates research instructional strategies and processes that incorporate a variety of resources, materials and technologies. Prerequisite(s): completion of Cluster I and full acceptance to the Teacher Certification Option. Co-requisite(s): MA 3070, RL 3070, (new Social Studies course) and SE 3070.
