AH1140 - Art History Foundations: Visual Culture
Foundations course. Introduces the contemporary field of visual culture, which investigates the various ways that images are seen and interpreted in the 21st century. Through theoretical and practical approaches to visual experience, questions how the creation of art objects in the past has influenced art making in the present, how we understand the things we see, as well as what tools we have for interpreting the visual field.
