Meet your Student Success Coach

Ryan Donathan:

“Hello, my name is Ryan Donathan. I am the Student Success Coach for first year students who are majoring in any of our Art programs, Music, Theatre & Dance programs, Business programs, Computer Science, Information Technology or English (no option). This is my second year at Plymouth State, but my first in this role. Last year I worked in Residence Life as the Residence Director of Grafton Hall. I’m originally from the Cleveland area of Ohio and I earned my bachelor’s degree from Wright State University (Dayton, Ohio) in Middle Childhood Education in 2013. Prior to coming to PSU I was at Murray State University (Murray, Kentucky) where I served as a Residence Director while earning a master’s degree in Human Development and Leadership, specializing in College Student Personnel. I’m big sports fan and an avid hiker. I love all kinds of coffee and tea (especially from downtown at Monte Alto) as well as a good bookstore! My office is located in the lower level of Mary Lyon Hall, in 034, my phone number is (603) 535-2652 and I’m also available by email. Should you ever have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out!”

Kelsey Donnelly:

Hello!!  Welcome to Plymouth State!!  My name is Kelsey Donnelly and I have worked at PSU for 11 years.  I started out in the Office of Educator Preparation working closely with the students who were studying to become teachers, before moving to the Center for Student Success last year.  I received my undergraduate degree here at PSU in Professional Communication, and this winter I will receive my PSU graduate degree in Human Relations.  I have lived in this area since I was born, and this community is amazing, so as Plymouth becomes your home for the next four years, I hope that you too will soon develop a strong sense of connection to the area, and go out and explore all it has to offer.

Success Tip: Most of you are here with the goal of being successful.  To achieve this, it is not enough to look into something.  You have to commit, you have to show up, you have to engage, and you have to stay until the end.  You never know when you will make a new connection, or receive that nugget of advice that will bring you even closer to where you were meant to be.

Kayla Gaudette:

Hello! My name is Kayla Gaudette and I will be your Student Success Coach (advisor) this year. Congratulations on becoming a Panther and welcome to the start of your academic career at Plymouth State University!

I’m pumped for you to arrive on campus and to begin working with me on your academic goals. I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself, my role, and provide you with my contact information.

As your Student Success Coach my job is to assist you in the development of your academic plan, help you connect to faculty and staff members, explore career opportunities and anything else we can think of to help you maximize the 120 weeks of your college experience.

My office is located in the garden level of Mary Lyon in room 034. To schedule a half hour appointment you can call (603) 535-3065.

A little bit about who I am: I grew up in northern NH in a little town called Pike, fun fact, they made the first knife sharpener. I graduated from PSU in 2014 with a degree in Mental Health Psychology and will earn my Master’s degree in Human Relations this winter. I’m an avid runner, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and watching Netflix.

This June I participated as a SOAP leader during Orientation where I facilitated ice breakers and ran around on the green with many of you. Here is a picture of me and another facilitator with our caterpillar to play Alaskan baseball!  ALASKA!!!

In July I transitioned out of my role as an Admissions Counselor and into the role of Student Success Coach (Advisor).

As you can see ‘excited’ is an understatement for how I’m feeling about your arrival to campus!!

Over the course of the summer start to think about what questions you may have so that I can answer them when you are on campus. If you cannot find the information on the website feel free to contact me with any immediate questions. And, utilize the time on Sunday, August 28th during Panther Days to meet regarding any schedule issues from 10:00am-1:30pm.

I’ll be sending more advising updates as the semester progresses – the subject line will read “Student Success Coach Update” – so keep an eye out for those messages.

See you at Panther Days!
