Panther Days! September 1st-4th
Panther Days is a five-day, jam-packed orientation where you will make new friends, get familiar with campus and get started on the best path for your studies at Plymouth State University!
Prepare to move-in to your dorm room, meet your roommate, floor-mates, and connect with your Community Advisor at your first res hall meeting. Attend your first real course meeting of First Year Seminar. Meet faculty and students in your department at the Meet and Greet, and if you are undecided, meet with peers in the same situation. Make sure you pack something nice to wear for the annual New Student Banquet where you get to know a faculty or staff member, while hearing from President Birx, Vice President Fischler, and a special guest, as well as live music. Ignite Sessions will help you get the most out of your college experience.
Laugh and have fun at what may be the highlight of your orientation weekend, Panther Olympics, when res hall floor teams are presented with both mentally and physically challenging, but super silly, activities. Explore virtual reality at the Technology Fair, go ice-skating at Hanaway Rink, and check out the trails in Langdon Woods. Relax on Mary Lyon lawn for a BBQ and live entertainment. Get tours of campus, as well as important buildings like Lamson Learning Commons and Library where you will learn about resources offered and explore state of the art, Open Labs.
Welcome Week follows with events such as comedian Buzz Sutherland and the Student Activities Fair that showcases many of the clubs you can join here on campus!
