Cynthia Robinson

Karl Drerup Art Gallery

Cynthia  is a teaching eco artist, who has worked to balance her studio practice with a passion for arts education, arts programming, and collaborations that create communities through the arts.

Cynthia has a long history with the Plymouth area, having worked as the Program Director for Friends of the Arts in Plymouth for 14 years, during which time she served on the Drerup Gallery Advisory Committee.

She later developed an environmental art education business, Eco Art a la Carte, which has taken her to schools and communities all over New England for workshops,  after school programs, conferences, long term programs, and artist in residence weeks. Cynthia’s Eco Art a la Carte Teaching Studio is part of The Arts Collaborative in Meredith, NH, and her working studio in Ashland, NH.

Cynthia enjoys combining work as a teacher, arts presenter, arts/education consultant, and working artist, which has given her the opportunity to work with a wide range of communities/audiences using different creative approaches to promote the overarching concept that the arts are essential to education and to the quality of life here in New Hampshire.

Cynthia is a NH State Council on the Arts’ Arts in Education Roster Artist, a member of the Arts Alliance of Northern NH, the New England Consortium of Artist Professionals, the New Hampshire Child in Nature Coalition and the Women’s Caucus for Art NH. She has a BS in Studio Art from Skidmore College, and an MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College.
