Child Welfare & Family Studies Minor

Criminal Justice majors only need to take 3 additional classes above the major to complete the child welfare & family studies minor!

CJ majors please note that if you take Child Welfare & Family Services along with Child Maltreatment for the two major elective classes that you must take for our major, you will only need 3 additional courses.

SW 2200 – Introduction to Social Work
SW 3100 – Child Welfare & Family Services
SW 3250 – Families, School & Community

You must complete 1 of the following:

SW 2050 – Introduction to Social Welfare Policy
SW 2500 – Human Biology for Social Workers & the Social Sciences
SW 3800 – Social Work Internship (only available in Winterim or summer)
