About Annemarie Conlon

I recently joined Plymouth State University with experience in health, aging, business, and interprofessional education (IPE). For the past 3+ years, I participated on a number of federally funded IPE geriatrics projects with faculty, students, and community partners from nursing, pharmacy, medicine, physical and occupational therapies. Before entering academia, I was employed as a clinical social worker at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where I provided counseling and therapeutic support to people diagnosed with lung cancer and their families. Prior to that, I spent over a decade at American Express developing a cluster of skills in finance, systems, marketing, and international business development.

I am thrilled to be at PSU. This is a dynamic time within the university as President Birx’s progressive cluster strategy offers an innovative, practical, and value oriented approach to education that better prepares students for success in our changing world. Our students are bright, motivated, and engaged in learning and community service. Our faculty and staff are intelligent, kind, and altruistic.

I came to PSU because I believe my diverse experience (i.e. business, social work, and IPE) fit well with President Birx’s strategic plan, I love the New Hampshire landscape, and my family lives close to the Plymouth area. What can be better than that?
