Ethan Paquin is the author of five books of poems, including Cloud vs. Cloud (Ahsahta Press, 2013) and The Violence (Ahsahta Press, 2005), which was runner-up for the Poetry Society of America William Carlos Williams Award. His books have been reviewed in publications including The London Times Literary Supplement, Publishers Weekly, Poetry Review (London), New Review of Literature, and PN Review (London). His creative writing and criticism/commentary have appeared in publications including The Colorado Review, The Boston Review, New American Writing, Quarterly West, Verse, Esquire.com, and Meanjin (Australia). His poetry appears in anthologies including Legitimate Dangers: American Poets of the New Century (Sarabande Books, 2005) and Isn’t It Romantic: 100 Love Poems by Younger American Poets (Wave Books, 2002). Chapbooks he has authored are Deafening Leafening (Pilot Books, 2009), a series of collaborative sonnets written with Matt Hart; and Nineains (Hand Held Editions, 2008). Paquin is the founding editor of the longstanding online literary journal Slope (www.slope.org), and is co-founder and director of the nonprofit small poetry press, Slope Editions. He graduated from Plymouth State College with a BA in English-Writing, and received his MFA in Poetry from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
