Dr. Dumont earned a dual degree in Economics and Sociology from The University of New Hampshire in 1998, an MBA and Master’s in International Business from Southern New Hampshire University in 2008 and his Ph.D. in International Business with a Marketing concentration in 2011.

Dr. Dumont has extensive experience working in the private sector as both a financial planner and multiple positions with marketing/sales responsibilities. His tenure at Plymouth State University began fall 2015 after spending the previous five years at the University of Akron in Akron, OH.

Dr. Dumont currently teaches a variety of marketing courses at Plymouth State University including Principles of Marketing (BU2450), Marketing Management (BU4250) and Sports Marketing (BU3450). Dr. Dumont’s research interests broadly include marketing strategy with a focus on the marketing of mega sporting events and the efficacy of neuro-marketing within the sporting firm.

In addition to his teaching, Dr. Dumont has recently been nominated Director of Student within the College of Business Administration. Dr. Dumont is also one of two faculty advisors for the Plymouth State University chapter of the American Marketing Association, branded MAPS (Marketing Association of Plymouth State). MAPS is a year-round student organization, comprised of more than 80 students, that competes yearly at the National AMA Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, LA.
