About Professor Hamond

Karen Hamond joined the Math Department in the Fall of 2019. She worked in public education in Massachusetts for 43 years, until her “retirement”. Most of those years, she served as a high school mathematics teacher and mathematics program supervisor. She has previously taught mathematics courses for Western New England College and Merrimack College in Massachusetts, as well as mathematics education courses for New England College in New Hampshire. She and her husband of 43 years, Roy Hamond, have two sons, two daughters, and two granddaughters. Karen has lived in Massachusetts her entire life, always wanting to teach.
