Kathleen Norris teaches graduate courses in research design, qualitative research, quantitative research methodology, program evaluation, and assessment. She also works with K-12 districts around the state on data-driven decision making, assessment principles and practices, and program evaluation. Before she joined Plymouth State University, Norris worked in secondary education for 25 years as a principal, curriculum administrator, guidance director, classroom teacher, and coach. Norris spent time in Japan as an English teacher and trainer of English teachers for the Japanese government, and in Alaska, where she worked in the Yu’pik Eskimo village of St. Marys and in Fairbanks. She has published essays and poems which have appeared in galleries in Alaska.
