About Professor Davidson

Mike Davidson joined the Math Department in the Fall of 2019. Mike was a full-time faculty member at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts.  He taught Structural Engineering Courses such as statics, strength of materials, structural analysis, and steel and concrete design; as well as, senior capstone sections.   Among his favorite tasks was mentoring the steel bridge team.  He retired from Wentworth in December 2017 after about 6 years of teaching and moved to the North Country of New Hampshire.

Prior to Wentworth, he worked for the Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation and subsequent owners of the corporation for over 35 years.  During this period, he held the titles of Vice President, Project Manager, Project Engineer, and various levels of Structural Engineer.   His favorite projects include, the design and construction of a 20-mile rail spur in Texas, and the design and construction of a flood wall near New Orleans, Louisiana.  He remains a licensed professional structural engineer in New Hampshire and two other New England States.
