About Dr. Chiang (she/her):

Dr. Chiang currently teaches child welfare courses at PSU and serves as the coordinator of the Title IV-E Child Welfare Educational Partnership. She taught macro social work practice courses for years before joining PSU and frequently serves as a reviewer of social work textbooks and journals in immigrant studies, research methods, statistics, and social policies. Her research focuses on immigrant population’s experiences, including their discrimination and coping, mental health service use and service delivery in the child welfare system. Her prior practice experience includes child welfare, public assistance, domestic violence, and public policy. She is a member of CSWE (Council on Social Work Education), SSWR (Society for Social Work Research) and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in New Hampshire.
