Roy Stever is a former global marketing executive and member of senior management teams, retired in 2009 from a 26-year career with global aluminum corporations, Alcan and Novelis. He is a proven leader of organization change and innovation, with success in translating strategic goals into best practices for marketing, commercial and innovation managers.
He has earned acclaim from industry groups including the Corporate Executive Board, and been an invited speaker at Yale University School of Management and Case Western Reserve University. His areas of expertise include marketing strategy and management, change management, major account management, best practices management, high-functioning teams and sustainability.
Roy is currently engaged in local and regional initiatives to protect land and water resources, to encourage wise use of energy and transmission corridors, and to stimulate the local economy of Northern New Hampshire. He is Chair of the Easton NH Conservation Commission and is a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, and the Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust.
He and his family recently renovated a 200 year old farmhouse, heating with firewood from the property, and solar energy. He enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, fly fishing, painting, and growing fruits and vegetables. Roy has hiked to the summits of all four-thousand foot peaks in New England.
Roy was educated at Cornell University (BS 1976), University of New Hampshire (MS 1981) and McGill University (MBA 1983). He attended Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management – Executive Development Program (1999).
