About Professor Devine

Sharon Devine is a veteran teacher with over twenty years’ experience at the college level. She has taught algebra courses at Middlesex Community College in Massachusetts, at Lakes Region Community College in Laconia, NH, and at NHTI in Concord, NH. She particularly loves teaching Elementary Algebra at PSU. Her expertise is in helping struggling algebra students achieve success. Her Bachelors Degree in Education is from Western Connecticut State University.

Prior to her college teaching years, she worked as a marketing assistant for a textbook publisher; and with her husband Peter, helped develop their own company, which provided writing and editing services to the major math textbook publishers.

Sharon lives in Bridgewater, NH, on Newfound Lake. She and Peter, who also teaches at PSU,  have three children and seven grandchildren. Sharon enjoys tennis, kayaking, swimming and hiking.
