About Professor Yang

Professor Tinglan Yang received her Bachelor in Public Finance from the University of Shanxi Finance and Economics in China in 1995. She received her Master in Economics from Beijing Normal University in Beijing, China in 1999. She also received her MBA from Whittemore School of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire in 2008.

In 2007, Ms. Yang created a marketing strategy to research generation X and Y banking customers for Franklin Savings Bank. In 2008, she researched and carried out a SWOT analysis of two Chinese competitors of Saint-Gobain Inc. Since 2006, Ms. Yang has provided consulting to two companies that import products from China, Fame, a seasonal retail company and One Source China, a funeral casket import company. Before Professor Yang started to teach at PSU, she had over eight years teaching experience in China.
