Dr. Nicoll currently serves as a Consultant with the Resilience Counseling & Training Center in North Conway, NH where he provides consulting services and professional development training for mental health organizations and schools both nationally and internationally. He served as a professor of counseling for over 30 years at the University of Cincinnati, University of Maine and Florida Atlantic University. He has published extensively in professional journals and books primarily on issues pertaining to family & couples counseling, mental health counseling, school-based family counseling, social-emotional learning, and classroom behavior management.
Dr. Nicoll has also served as a special education teacher (Behavior Disorders)), school counselor, and licensed mental health counselor in private practice, agency and correctional settings. He has served as the national trainer in Brief Counseling/Therapy for the American Counseling Association, consultant for the US Dept. of State Office of Overseas Schools, teacher association president, and president of the Ohio Counseling Association. He has presented well over 500 professional development workshops throughout N. America, S. America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia as well as established training programs in counseling/therapy in several countries including Russia, Greece Slovakia and Malta.
