In partnership with the Arizona Community College System, Plymouth State offers a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with concentrations in Adult Learning and Development, Elementary, Secondary or Special Education.
The Elementary and Secondary Education concentrations are designed specifically for Maricopa/Pima Community College students interested in pursuing teaching opportunities at the elementary or high school-levels. The 33-credit MEd in Curriculum and Instruction can be completed in as few as 12 months.
The Special Education concentration is a post-baccalaureate teacher certification program for graduates from Maricopa Community College (Rio Salado College) or Pima Community College. This accelerated course of study which builds upon theory and coursework gained during the post-baccalaureate experience will prepare students to meet the needs of special education children in a variety of classroom settings.
The Adult Learning and Development concentration is for students who have completed a post-baccalaureate teacher certification program at Maricopa Community Colleges (Rio Salado College and Scottsdale Community College) or Pima Community College. It is designed to explore the frameworks for understanding and responding to the unique needs of adult learners with emphasis placed on developing, implementing and evaluating programs for adults.
