Be a Voice for PSU’s Graduate Students

The College of Graduate Studies is seeking nominations for the Graduate Student Representative to the Graduate Faculty for the 2010-11 academic year. Graduate Faculty is the body that governs PSU’s graduate programs and is charged with managing the curriculum and setting and maintaining academic policies. It includes all PSU faculty members who teach graduate courses or are involved in thesis supervision.

The Graduate Faculty By-laws specify that there should be two student representatives. One of these slots is filled by the Graduate Student Representative to Student Senate; we are seeking nominations (including self-nominations) for the remaining seat. The representative must be a matriculated graduate student—that is, admitted into a specific program leading to a degree, certificate, or educator certification. Both part-time and full-time students are eligible to serve. The representative will attend all Graduate Faculty meetings, which are held from 4-5 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. Please contact Beth Beaulieu for more information or to submit a nomination.
