What attracted you to Plymouth State’s graduate program? It included an education program, was conveniently located, and offered an online component.
Where are you now employed? NHTI, Concord’s Community College
How are you implementing knowledge gained during your program? The knowledge I learned about adult development and how adults learn has helped me immensely in my communications career. I’ve been able to better understand the “receiving” end of communications and have learned to adapt my style to better achieve my communications goals. I’ve also learned to implement practical skills, such as curriculum development, into the classroom, as I teach at Plymouth State as an adjunct in the College of Business Administration. I also use many of the marketing and PR techniques I learned in my every day job.
What would you say to a student who is considering graduate school? Plymouth State offers an excellent program that, for me, offered practical skills I have been able to translate into my career goals. My advisor was very helpful in helping me find the right path for me. The instructors were solid and the online component gave me the flexibility to get the education I wanted while working full-time and raising a family.
