All Theater majors must participate in annual juries. Requirements vary from option to option.

Level 1: Admittance to Program

  • Two contrasting monologues

Level 2: End of First Year

  • One monologue

Level 3: End of Sophomore Year

  • Two contrasting monologues

Level 4: End of Junior Year

  • Two contrasting monologues (one in period style)
  • Resumé

Level 5: End of Senior Year

  • Exit interview

Level 1: Admittance to Program

  • One monologue
  • Two contrasting songs
  • Participation in a group movement sequence
  • Resumé

Level 2: End of First Year

  • One monologue
  • Resumé

Level 3: End of Sophomore Year

  • One monologue
  • One song (bring taped accompaniment)

Level 4: End of Junior Year

  • Completion of Stagecraft, Fundamentals of Costume, Stage Make-up
  • Completion of two credits of practicum

Level 3: End of Sophomore Year

  • Completion of TH 2540
  • Three credits of TH 3300 or TH 3310
  • Adept at drafting
  • Evidence strength in major design/tech area

  • Completion of six credits of TH 3300 or TH 3310
  • Demonstrate professional proficiency in area of emphasis
  • Portfolio includes: drafting, rendering, production/organizational skills, communication with production staff

  • Completion of writing samples from first year coursework

Level 3: End of Sophomore Year

  • Demonstration of dramatic writing: one-act or full length script as appropriate

  • Development and completion of new work and revision of prior work
