On Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 7:00 the Karl Drerup Art Gallery is proud to present a reading from Landaff Days, Sketches from New Hampshire’s North Country by Don Wharton. The readings are of sketches Don has written since moving to town of Landaff, New Hampshire. The forests, fields, mountains, weather, wildlife and people are the particular subjects of his sketches of rural life “North of the Notch”. He writes of a very special landscape and environment-at once inviting and challenging, beautiful and fierce at the same time. In Wharton’s view Landaff is a microcosm of the larger natural world, having its own beauty, rigors and mystery. He writes with humor, empathy, realism and wonder as he explores and illuminates life in the North Country in Landaff Days.
