President’s Permanent Art Collection

Location: Silver Center for the Arts, Lobby Gallery

This exhibition highlights Plymouth State University student artwork acquired annually by the University President. These pieces were selected from the Annual Student Juried Art Exhibit and are now part of the President’s Permanent Collection. Students whose work was chosen received an award and are honored by having their work become part of the collection. Throughout the years, this collection has grown and is available for loan to display in offices across campus.

  • Terms and Conditions:
    • The office in which the artwork will be displayed must be secure and locked during non-business hours. It is the responsibility of the person requesting the artwork to keep it secure within the office and to protect it from damage. Should damage occur, contact Meghan Doherty, Director, MWM.
    • There must be a dedicated, safe, solid desk/table/base available in an office if three-dimensional artwork is to be displayed.
    • Note that sizes are listed with each piece. Be sure to measure your display space before reserving an artwork.
    • The loan term for a given artwork is one year.
    • All requests for artwork must be made between October 7th and October 21st.
    • Notifications regarding new recipients will be made shortly after October 25th.
    • All artwork reservations are on a first-come, first serve basis. However, offices with high traffic and high visibility will also be given priority. The final decision for placement of artwork will be the responsibility of the Collection Committee.
    • Next year, the rotation of artwork will be done by a Museum of the White Mountains designee within a two-week window, beginning October 15th and ending November 1st.
