The fifth annual Joyful Noise concert by the Plymouth State College Chamber Singers and the Hanover Chamber Orchestra will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday, December 6 at the Plymouth Congregational Church.
The concert will also be performed at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 8 at St. Denis Parish, 8 Sanborn Road in Hanover.
Conducted by Professor Daniel Perkins, the program will include Bach’s famous “Cantata 64, Sehet welch eine Liebe” (See, what great love), “Fantasia on Greensleeves” by Vaughan Williams, Bach’s “Oboe and Violin Concerto, BWV 1060” and seasonal a cappella motets.
This popular yearly event features the professional musicians of the Hanover Chamber Orchestra, combined with the polished, pure tone of the Plymouth State College Chamber Singers. Student soloists will be Lauren Keefe of Plymouth; Jenny Stevens of Harpswell, Maine; Lyndsay Freeman of Belmont, Mass.; Camille Lively of Nashua; Nate Burcalow of Gorham and Christopher Ryan of Cheshire, Conn.
