PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The leading tackler on the Plymouth State College football team was recognized this week with a selection to the ECAC Division III Northeast
Senior linebacker Tim Boothroyd (Amesbury, Mass.) was named to the All-Northeast Second Team Defense. The voting was done by the head coaches in the
ECAC Northeast region, which includes the Freedom Football Conference, the New England Football Conference, the New England Small College Athletic Conference,
and the Division III Independents in New England.
Boothroyd was selected First Team All-Freedom Conference last month.
A 6’0”, 225-pound linebacker, Boothroyd excelled in just his second year on the Panther defense. He led the Panthers or tied for the team lead in tackles in eight of
the 10 games, finishing second in the conference with 100 total tackles. Boothroyd, who has a year of eligibility remaining, also collected six tackles for loss, two
interceptions, a pass deflection and a fumble recovery. He was twice selected to the FFC Weekly Honor Roll this season.
Boothroyd was one of the bright spots on a disappointing Panther team that finished winless in 10 starts this season.
