Alumni Association 2006 -2007 Scholarship Recipients

The Plymouth State University Alumni Association is proud to announce the recipients of the 2006 – 2007 Alumni Association Scholarships. This year, over 50 students applied for the various scholarships offered by the association. The winners are as follows below:

Susan D. Connolly ’09 of Bridgewater (interdisciplinary studies) – American Association of University Women Scholarship, a scholarship in the amount of $500, awarded to a non-traditional female student who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, aptitude and/or exceptional talent in specific areas of performance, as well as a commitment to the PSU community.

Arnau Galobardes Tuneu ’07 of Catalonia (athletic training) – Alumni Association Graduate Scholarship, a scholarship in the amount of $700 awarded to a graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, aptitude and/or exceptional talent in specific areas of performance, and a commitment to the PSU community.

Ellen Marie Blakely ’07 of Laconia (business management), Naomi Fosher ’09 of Candia (English literature), Amanda Klein ’08 of Edgartown, Mass. (physical education), Kaitlyn Marrie ’08 of Swampscott, Mass. (athletic training), Sujeeta Silwal ’06 (biotechnology) and Cassandra Stone ’08 of Salem (English) – Alumni Association Undergraduate Scholarships, six scholarships in the amount of $700 each, awarded to full-time students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, aptitude and/or exceptional talent in specific areas of performance, as well as a commitment to the PSU community. Continuing students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average to be eligible.

Eugene Martin ’09 of Manchester (political science) – Nelson Paquette Class of 1963 Award.

Naomi Fosher ’09 of Candia (English literature) – Robert J. Doherty Scholarship, a scholarship in the amount of $500, awarded to a full-time student who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, aptitude and/or exceptional talent in specific areas of performance, as well a commitment to the PSU community. Continuing students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average to be eligible. Students must be from Rochester, New Hampshire. If there is no qualified student from Rochester, the limitation will be expanded to surrounding communities in the Seacoast Region.
