Schedule of Events


Spend a night or the weekend on campus


Did you ever want to spend a night in Mary Lyon Hall? Do you wonder what your old room looks like? Are you remembering the time you spent on Angel Alley, Tufts Alley and The Bridge? Now you have a chance to come back to Plymouth and stay in Mary Lyon Hall. Delta Zeta sisters will be staying in the White Mountain Apartments.


Included with your room reservation, are an evening reception and dinner the night of your stay as well as breakfast the following the day. All overnight packages include a complimentary ticket to the Recognition Luncheon. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity.


A number of packages are available for the weekend. Please remember that all meals and activities are included for the duration of the package.
• The All Inclusive Package begins Friday afternoon with check in and concludes with the brunch on Sunday. $189.00 per person
• The Friday Overnight Package begins Friday afternoon with check in and concludes with the Academic Sessions Saturday afternoon. If you would like to stay for Saturday’s dinner, please register for that event separately. $99.00 per person
• The Saturday Overnight Package begins Saturday morning with check in/registration and concludes with the brunch on Sunday. $99.00 per person
• The Recognition Day Package begins Saturday morning with registration in the Hartman Union Building and concludes with the Academic Sessions Saturday afternoon. If you would like to stay for Saturday’s dinner, please register for that event separately. $25.00 per person
• The Saturday Dinner Package includes only the Saturday evening reception and dinner. Individuals not purchasing the All Inclusive or Saturday Overnight Package must register for this separately in order to attend. $30.00 per person


Friday Night
2:00pm-6:00pm: Overnight Check-in, Mary Lyon Hall Foyer/Centre Lodge
Check back in to the buildings that hold so many memories for so many of us. Here you will be able to pick up your room keys and begin a great weekend.


12:00pm-5:00pm: Flower Show “Passport to a World of Bloom” Karl Drerup Gallery, Draper & Maynard Building
The Ashland Garden Club presents their annual flower show at Plymouth State University. Walk down the hill to see the beautiful flower displays.

6:30pm: Friday Overnight Guest Reception, Prospect Hall
Spend an enjoyable time catching up with other Plymouth State alumni who are also staying overnight on campus. Share stories and tell tales about the time you and your friends snuck in or out through the windows.


7:00pm: Friday Overnight Guest Dinner, Prospect Hall
Enjoy casual conversation, fine food and good friends in this beautiful new space. A delicious four-course meal will highlight the evening. Come swing and dance the night away with entertainment provided by local musicians.



Saturday
7:00am: Morning walk around Plymouth
Start the day off with a brisk walk around campus and down town as you prepare for a full day of activities to come.


7:00am-10:00 am: Cardio Center and Weight Room Open, Hartman Union Building
Worried that you won’t be able to get in your morning workout? The Hartman Union Building fitness center will be available for your use.


8:00am: Breakfast with the PSUAA Board, Mary Lyon Hall Foyer/Centre Lodge
Start the day off with some coffee, juice, and a light breakfast as your Plymouth State University Alumni Association Board Members talk about today’s Plymouth State.


9:00am-11:00am: Overnight Check-in, Mary Lyon Hall Foyer/Centre Lodge
Check back in to the buildings that hold so many memories for so many of us. Here you will be able to pick up your room keys and begin a great celebration.


9:00am – 12:00pm: Registration and Hospitality, Hartman Union Building Foyer
Please register upon arrival. Alumni Weekend schedule information, reunion information, a listing of community events, campus maps and more, will be available. Check in to see who is here! Light refreshments will be served in the morning.


10:00am, 3:00pm: Campus Tours
Take a one hour walk back in time and once again visit the buildings and places you called home. View the new Boyd Science Center, Prospect Hall, Karl Drerup Art Gallery, Silver Cultural Arts Center, Rounds Hall, Mary Lyon Hall, Samuel Read Hall Hall and many other locations on campus. All tours will start and finish at the front of the Hartman Union Building.

10:00am: Guided Tour of Boyd Science Center
Spend an hour walking the halls of Plymouth’s newest academic building. Visit the place where Plymouth students and faculty use today’s technology to make tomorrow’s leaders.

10:00am: Women's Basketball Alumni Game, PE Center, Foley Gymnasium
The roles will be reversed as current women's basketball players coach and referee an alumni basketball game. All women's basketball alumni are encouraged to come play and everyone is welcome to come and cheer on their favorite players.


11:00am: Award Recognition Reception, Prospect Hall
Join this year’s recipients of the Robert Frost Contemporary American Award, Alumni Awards, Faculty and Staff Awards, and Alumni Association Scholarships along with distinguished faculty emeriti. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet this year’s honored guests.


12:00pm: Recognition Luncheon, Prospect Hall
This is the highlight of Alumni Weekend! The Luncheon will include the presentation of the Robert Frost Contemporary American Award and Alumni Service Awards, and conclude with the presentation of reunion class gifts. This is an ideal time to sit with friends and enjoy an exceptional meal. Pre-registration for tickets is required.


2:00pm: Class and Reunion Photos, Alumni Green
Gather with your fellow alumni for your group photograph. Digital photography will be used and pictures will be available for viewing at that time. Groups holding on campus reunion dinners Saturday evening will have photos taken at those events. In the event of inclement weather, pictures will be taken in Prospect Hall immediately after the Recognition Luncheon.


2:00pm: Women’s Basketball Reception, Samuel Read Hall Hall, Heritage Commons
Women’s basketball alumnae from each decade will gather together to reminisce, revisit old friendships and begin new ones, recognize our successes, and most importantly, to relax and have fun. A reunion photo will be taken at the end of this reception.


3:00pm – 4:00pm: Annual PSUAA Board Meeting, Hartman Union Building, Multi-Purpose Room
This is an open meeting for all alumni. Board members will share recent successes in the PSUAA and share their vision for the future of the Alumni Association. This is your chance to have your voice heard. Don’t be left out!


3:00pm: Alumni Weekend Special Sessions, Rounds Hall
• Plymouth State University Master Plan Presentation, Bill Crangle, Vice President for Finance
• Introduction to Scrapbooking, Tina Newberry, Public Relations
• Plymouth through the Years, Ginny Fisher, University Archivist
• International Teaching, Mary McNeil and visiting Pakistani teachers
• The Life and Works of Karl Drerup, Catherine Amidon, Karl Drerup Art Gallery Director

3:00pm-6:00pm: Overnight Package Check-in/Check-out, Mary Lyon Hall Foyer/Centre Lodge
For those of you who are arriving, welcome back to the buildings that hold so many memories for so many of us. Pick up your room keys and begin a great reunion.
For those who are leaving, we are sorry you have to leave early. We hope you had a great time with your friends and hope to see you again soon. Please return your room keys to the attendant located at the check-out table.

6:00pm: Saturday Dinner Reception, Prospect Hall
Spend an enjoyable time catching up with other Plymouth State alumni who are also celebrating a reunion or staying overnight on campus. Those people only attending a Saturday dinner should check in at this event before going to dinner.


7:00pm: Saturday Dinners, Various Locations
The sisters of Delta Zeta, the classes of 1960 and 1965 along with our overnight guests will enjoy casual conversation, fine food, good friends and dancing.

We are sorry, but the weekend does have to end some time. After spending the time with good friends, it is time to pack up. Please return your room keys to the attendant located at the check-out table in the foyer.
