PLYMOUTH, N.H. – It’s the second week of April, and the postponements and cancellations continue to come for the Plymouth State College athletic teams due to
snow-covered fields. More than two dozen PSC athletic dates have been wiped out or changed due to winter conditions this month.
Two of the three women’s lacrosse games scheduled for this week have been affected. Monday’s home contest against New England College has been
cancelled and will not be made up. Wednesday’s game against Keene State, slated for PSC’s Arold Field, has been moved and will take place instead at Keene State at
5 p.m. PSC’s neutral- site contest against Trinity College on Tuesday is still a go, as planned, in Worcester, Mass. (7 p.m.).
Both Panther men’s lacrosse games scheduled for this week have been changed. The Little East Conference contest at Southern Maine set for Tuesday (Apr. 10)
has been rescheduled for Thursday, Apr. 26th, at 4 p.m. at USM. Saturday’s scheduled LEC home game against Eastern Connecticut will be switched, with PSC officials
searching for a dry field on which to play.
All three dates on the PSC baseball scheduled have been altered. The PSC-KSC game scheduled for Tuesday at Panther Field will be played at Rhode Island
College (1 p.m.), and Wednesday’s clash at New England College has been moved to Panther Field on Thursday, Apr. 26th. Saturday’s LEC twinbill at Southern Maine is
out, although there is the possibility the games could be played Sunday (Apr. 15) at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine.
The Panther softball schedule is topsy-turvy as well. The Wednesday doubleheader at Fitchburg State has been postponed, with no make-up date yet announced.
Saturday’s LEC twinbill against Western Connecticut, scheduled to be at home, will now be played in Danbury, Conn.
There have been no changes to the PSC men’s tennis schedule. The Panthers can play all home matches indoors at the P.E. Center Fieldhouse.
