Each summer, several evening events planned for the Arts in Education Institute are open to the public. The theme of this year’s Institute is THE ARTS: INCLUSION & ACCESSIBILITY. There is no charge for these events thanks to grant funding from VSA Arts and the US Department of Education.

Representatives from the Parent Information Center will participate in a discussion concerning parents of children with disabilities and issues that develop while negotiating school experiences.

ANIMATION STATION AND THE PORTSMOUTH CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

In a partnership with VSA Arts NH, the Portsmouth Children’s Museum will offer the opportunity to learn about Animation Station and its potential for using animation in our schools.

PERFORMANCE – AFRICAN DRUMMING
Steve Ferraris and the Rootsystem Drummers
Steve and his group will play a variety of African and Afro-Cuban drums and percussion instruments including the beautifully melodic African Balafon. The music is a mix of traditional and original music.
