The 2004 Educational Theatre Collaborative production will be Mail to the Chief, an original musical created from the letters of children across the country to our next U.S. president. Performance dates are January 21-25, 2004, the weekend before the New Hampshire primary election.
Because of the nature of the production, the majority of the 50 cast members will come from young people ages 8-23 years, although a few adults will also be cast.
Auditions will take place in the Silver Cultural Arts Center at Plymouth State University on the following dates and times:
Sunday, November 16
12:30-2:30 p.m. third and fourth grade students
2:45-4:15 p.m. fifth and sixth grade students
4:30-6 p.m. seventh and eighth grade students
7-9:30 p.m. high school, University and community members
Wednesday, November 19
6 – 7:30 p.m. Additional children’s auditions (grades three – eight) Children are encouraged to come on Nov. 16 in the smaller group settings if possible.
7:30 – 10 p.m. high school, University and community members
Friday, November 21 4:30 – 6 p.m. Callback (additional auditions if necessary).
Children in grades three through eight do not need to prepare anything in advance, and they will be auditioned in groups. High school and University students and community members must call Brenda Gleich at 535-2803 to schedule an individual audition time and should bring music and be prepared to sing and read from the script.
