ADA, Ohio – The Plymouth State College wrestler competing at the NCAA Division III Championships won once and lost twice Friday before being
eliminated.

Senior 174-pounder Ben Baker (Gardiner, Maine) was ousted from the tournament, which was hosted by Ohio Northern University. Baker completes the
season with a 30-8 overall record, and concludes his collegiate career with an 82-39 mark.

A two-time NCAA qualifier, Baker was defeated by Andrew Melton of Wisconsin LaCrosse in his first bout, 7-4. Baker came back in the 174-pound
wrestleback to defeat Coast Guard’s Brendan Harris, 12-3, avenging a loss to Harris at the New England Championships. But Baker’s tournament came to an end
with a loss to third-seeded Brad Christie of Montclair State, 12-3.

The Panthers, led by fifth-year head coach Dave Carlson, finished the regular season with a 9-8 dual meet record. PSC has had 11 NCAA qualifiers in the
five years under Carlson.
