Plymouth, N.H.—The annual Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition at Plymouth State University is a right-of-passage for graduating BFA students. It’s also a requirement for graduation. All Plymouth State BFA candidates must present a capstone project to their teachers, peers and the public.

The 2011 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition opens April 19 at both the Karl Drerup Art Gallery and the Silver Center for the Arts, and closes May 16 at Silver and May 21 at the Drerup Art Gallery.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition showcases work of a select group of graduating seniors. The works reflect their understanding of art and design and their preparedness to enter the creative world.

The exhibition represents work that is the capstone achievement of a full year of intensive inquiry, creative challenge, experimentation and exploration; and their development of a comprehensive and cohesive body of work from which pieces for the exhibition are selected. In addition, each venue offers unique curatorial and installation challenges, and a unique viewing experience.
