Comparative Colonialisms: An Interdisciplinary Look at the Construction of Knowledge and Nation

This conference will explore colonialism and a complex of related themes: empire, power structures, dominance, resistance, agency, language, postcoloniality, and nationhood, among others.
Plymouth State University students will present their work from a variety of fields, including history, English, anthropology, geography and political science, and the audience will be encouraged to ask questions and make connections between the presenters’ varied approaches to these ideas.
