Contemporary Dance Ensemble Scholarship Concert

The Plymouth State College Contemporary Dance Ensemble will present a concert of works by faculty, students and guest artists at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12, at the Silver Cultural Arts Center. The concert is a scholarship fundraising event.

The featured work will be “Making of the Drum,” a collaboration by CDE members and the PSC Chamber Singers, who are directed by Dan Perkins.

Modern dance, ballet, hip-hop and tap pieces have been choreographed by faculty members Joan Wiegers, CDE director, Carole Ann Morrison and Gary Flannery, and by guest artist Avery Lee. Student choreographers are Kelly Cote, Darcy Leadwell, Angela Martinelli, Elizabet Rodrigues, Danielle Inkel, Greg Wiles and Deanna Beattie.

Tickets for the program are $10 general admission. Call the PSC Box Office, 535-ARTS. Box office hours are Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Thursday until 7 p.m.
