PLYMOUTH, N.H. – One of the freshmen on the Plymouth State College men’s lacrosse team was recognized by the Little East Conference Monday for his performance in three Panther games last week.
PSC freshman Bobby Dabrieo (Woburn, Mass.) was named LEC Rookie of the Week for his efforts in the three games. He is the first Panther to be honored by the conference this spring.
A freshman attack, Dabrieo had his best game in a Panther uniform in last Monday’s 20-9 win over Salve Regina, scoring seven points on six goals and one assist. He came back with a goal and an assist Thursday in a 13-12 loss to New England College, and added another goal Saturday in PSC’s 11-10 overtime loss to UMass Boston. Dabrieo is fourth on the team in scoring for the season with 16 points (13 goals, three assists).
The Panthers, 3-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play, wrap up the regular season this week with four games, including three straight on the road. PSC travels to Salem State Tuesday for an LEC make-up game (3:30 p.m.), and visits Johnson State Thursday for a non-conference clash (4:00 p.m). The regular season concludes with an LEC road game Saturday at UMass Dartmouth (3:00 p.m.) and the home finale Sunday in a make-up game at Panther Field against Keene State (2:00 p.m.).
