Dan Perkins, piano and Linda Galvan, cello Sept. 27

PLYMOUTH, N.H.Duo Veritas will perform a program that includes the stunningly romantic Rachmaninov “Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, Opus 19” and Claude Bolling’s “Suite for Cello and Piano,” at Plymouth State University Sunday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Silver Center’s Smith Recital Hall.

Pianist Daniel Perkins is Bristow-Stevens professor of music and director of choral activities at Plymouth State University. Perkins is a guest conductor at concerts throughout the United States and abroad. He is the founder and music director of the New Hampshire Master Chorale, as well as the music director of the Manchester Choral Society and a principal guest conductor of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet of Hanoi.

Linda Galvan is principal cellist with Camerata New England, an ensemble of 15 professional string players. Performances spanning the entire gamut of orchestral soloist, recitals, and chamber music have taken her throughout Europe, Canada and the United States. After performing with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Ms. Galvan moved to New England, where she is an active teacher and performer in recital and as a guest soloist.
