PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior Josh Bailey (Lexington, Ky.) went 5-for-6 with two RBI and four runs scored Thursday afternoon to lead Dartmouth College’s baseball team to an 18-0 non-conference victory over Plymouth State University at Panther Park.
The Big Green outhit the Panthers 23-4 in the contest. Six Dartmouth pitchers combined on the shutout, with none working more than two innings. Dartmouth completes its season at 14-21 overall, while PSU goes into the final weekend of its campaign with a 10-26 overall record.
In addition to Bailey, freshman Jason Blydell (Nahant, Mass.), senior Jeff Speights (San Diego, Cal.) and sophomore Aaron Teitelbaum (Cranbury, N.J.) also collected three hits apiece for the Big Green.
The game was a late addition to the schedule after PSU’s originally scheduled opponent, Daniel Webster College, was unable to play.
PSU has also made a change to this weekend’s schedule due to predicted rain. The Little East Conference doubleheader against Rhode Island College, slated for Saturday at 12 noon, has been moved up to Friday (May 6) at will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Panther Park.
