On Saturday, March 17, 2001, Plymouth State College will welcome high school juniors and their parents from Nashua to Colebrook for the second annual “Destination College” convention. Over 1,000 students and parents are expected to attend various workshops on topics such as selecting colleges, writing the college essay, applying for financial aid, NCAA registration and career planning. The program also includes a College Fair with two- and four-year colleges and universities participating from throughout the state of New Hampshire.
“The goal of this exciting event is to send a clear message to New Hampshire families,” said Karen Collins, co-chair of Destination College and member of the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF) which designed the program. “College is possible and educational achievement is important to achieving personal, career and life goals!”
