Dinner with 12 Strangers

April 6th, 2005 by Adam

Students in the Early Childhood Education program will gather in Orford, NH and share dinner with faculty and alumni from the Early Childhood Education programs to discuss careers and relevant topics in the field.

The “Dinner for 12 Strangers” program enables alumni, faculty and students to interact in a meaningful way in a non-academic environment. In addition to home-cooked meals, alumni, students and faculty participate in an excellent opportunity to share ideas and real world experiences.

Alumni host dinners and invite students and other alumni of the same major. This provides the students with the opportunity to ask questions about what it is like to be working in a particular field and the journey of getting there. Faculty and advisors play a critical role in helping the alumni and students come together, so one or 2 faculty are also invited to the dinners. Through this program Plymouth State University students, alumni and faculty come together as strangers and leave as friends.
