To the Campus Community:
It is with deep sorrow that I tell you that Dennise Maslakowski, associate vice president of the College of Graduate Studies and a beloved educator, colleague,
and friend, has died.
had spent over three decades working in education, twenty-five of those years at Plymouth State, where she was a faculty member, Coordinator of Elementary Education, Reading Specialist, Director of Graduate Studies, and then Associate Vice President. She was an award-winning teacher, scholar, and administrator; most recently, she had received the EDie (Excellence in Education) Award for leadership in the State of New Hampshire and PSU’s Harold E. Hyde Award for Distinguished Educational Leadership. Her vision for and commitment to graduate education led her to initiate excellent programs for working professionals.
She was a teacher and friend in the finest sense, one who saw the possibilities in people. She lived with energy and joy.
A Memorial service will be held on campus the first week of spring semester, at Heritage Commons beginning at 4
p.m. on Thursday, January 29.
A Memorial service was held on Monday, December 29, at the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton, in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
