The Educational Theatre Collaborative (ETC), Plymouth State University’s award-winning community theatre program, presents “Welcome to Whoville,” a daylong arts festival for children currently in grades K-6, hosted by The Cat in the Hat. The festival is held in conjunction with ETC’s production of Seussical the Musical.
The festival, which features workshops in acting, creative writing, making music, dancing and art is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, January 14 at the Silver Center for the Arts on Main Street in Plymouth . Children should bring a bag lunch.
Registration is $35, payable by check to Plymouth State University mailed to Susan Keefe, Plymouth State University MSC 29, 17 High Street, Plymouth, N.H. 03264, or by credit card. Some scholarships are available.

The Festival is hosted by ETC, a collaborative arts organization sponsored by Plymouth State University, Friends of the Arts and Plymouth Elementary School. Workshops include:

Oh, the Thinks You Can Think! — creative writing with Susan Anderson
Meussical! — making music with Julie Krisak
Hop on Pop! — dancing with Lisa Travis
Hunches and Bunches! — art with Denise Plante-Renaud
Production dates for Seussical the Musical are January 25 – 28 at 7 p.m.; January 28 and 29 at 2 p.m., at Hanaway Theatre. The 7 p.m. performance on January 28 will be interpreted for the deaf and heard of hearing. Please call in advance for seating for that service. Tickets are available at the SCAC Box Office, (603) 535-ARTS. Tickets are $16-14 for adults, $12-10 for seniors and youth.
