Faculty Voice Recital of Classical and Jazz Songs

Janice Edwards, adjunct instructor in voice at Plymouth State University, will present a program of classical songs and jazz classics, Come Rain or Come Shine, at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 19 at the Silver Center for the Arts. The selected songs relate to weather and the seasons.

Ms. Edwards, who is acclaimed for vocal richness and warmth and powerful expressive abilities, holds a Master of Music Education degree from Peabody College. She has performed in opera, oratorio and recital in the U.S. and Europe, with repertoire ranging from standard to contemporary.

In New Hampshire, she has performed with the Granite State Opera, New Hampshire Music Festival, Great Waters Music Festival, New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra, Keene Chamber Orchestra and the Manchester Choral Society.

Ms. Edwards will be accompanied by PSU collaborative pianist Constance Chesebrough and guest artists Sonny Feliciano, bass and Josh Evans, jazz piano. There is no charge for admission.
